Deviousness |
When Ursula made the deal with Ariel, she secretly planted a seed of dark sea magic in Ariel, as a failsafe in case her plan failed, though she saw no possibility of that happening. The talec plays through and then Ursula realizes she had to do it. So, a split second upon her implaement, she activated the seed, and then perishd. The merpeople celebrated, however Triton noted that Ariel looked worse than sick. Sending her to rest, after days of severe illness, Ariel appeared to be dead. But, after Triton left the cavern where Ariel was laid to rest, her body began to stir. Suddenly, she awoke, and preceded towards her father's kingdom. Upon seeing his thought-to-be-dead daughter, he swam towards her, only to be sliced open by a jagged rock that Ariel picked up on her way there. The evil within Ariel preceded to butcher every living soul in the kingdom, until only her faithful friend, Flounder, remained. He tried to defend himself with a fork that he had carried from Ariel's treasure trove for self-defense. Soon enough, however, Ariel managed to subdue him and place her own seed of dark sea magic within him, though not before suffering a deep gash wound to her left arm, which she readily replaced with the fork that Flounder had brought. And so, with Flounder reduced to a feral, subservient state, Ariel sought to wield her father's trident and thus became the Mad Queen of the Seven Seas.
Not bad, huh? This is just my theory as to Ariel's fork-for-a-hand, and Flounder looking like the anglur fsh from Finding Nemo, though lacking a light.
